Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Ok folks, I am winging it here but we're going to have a St Patrick's day photography competition and I being the only Irish person here who is living on this emerald isle have nominated myself the one and only judge. The rules are as follows.
1. Photographs must be submitted to this discussion before and up to the day in question.
2. All photographs must be current (no sneaking in earlier years)
3. Photographs must include Doodles in St Patrick's Day mode
4. Only Doodles and no humans to be included.
5. Naked Doodle pictures are accepted (so no excuses for the bare bods) but the backdrop must be St Patrick's day theme
6. Multiple entries ARE permitted
I will decide on the prize depending on my mood but it will be something Irish ( it may or may not be in good taste!) and will be posted to the winner.
The winner will be announced on Monday evening (my time)

Wow! A green dog! Cute one, Joanne!
HaHa, I might have to take a similar approach with Murph. He will NOT put the St. Pat's day hat on.
And the winner is!!!!! This is just great Joanne....so creative!!!!
Kiss Kiss Spud!
You all did a wonderful job. I laughed at everyone of these poor doodles succumbing to your torture.Hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day!
The pressure was on to get the photo shoot done this afternoon. We decided to take the boys to the off leash park thinking they would get a good run and be so tired that they'd cooperate fully with a little "Irish Dress-up". Well this was not the smartest decision I've ever made. Big Murph (who normally wants no part of swimming) decided to go in for a little "Spring dip" with a Lab buddy he met. WTD? So he gets soaking wet and then runs through the mud along the bank of the pond. I'm talking filthy dirty. We leash him back up and get him into the car (which now I think will require a full detailing because there's mud everywhere). We get him home and now what am I supposed to do with this guy. No matter how hard I scrubbed I couldn't get the mud off the paws. He's been out on the deck for a while trying to dry off, but the only thing that is going to get this boy clean is a full grooming. Anyway, he's a dirty mess...no pictures for him. Guinness was not in the most cooperative of moods either. He loved running with the big boys, and now he's exhausted. Anyway, this was the best I could do under the circumstances.
Here's what Guinness thinks of his Irish tie....
Apparently the hat was just more than he could handle...
Here's Big Murph with his dignity intact...and his membership in the International Association of Naked Doodles. Check out his little brother hiding behind him. He's afraid I'll get him dressed up again and he's looking to his brother for protection.
Guinness looks adorable. The hat photo is funny. I find the mud dries up and falls off if given time. True I have sweeping up to do but it beats bathing doodles.
Thanks, F. The good news is the mud did dry up and fall off. The bad news is it fell off on the carpet. No problem....Stanley Steemer guys haven't been her for a while and I kind of miss them.
WTG, Big Murph! Nice job on avoiding the costumes and bonus points for the mud! Inspired!
Guinness, I will just pretend I didn't see that first photo. The second one shows the right attitude for the VP of the NDC, and the third one...well, let her prove that was you under that ridiculous hat.
Your Fearless Leader,
JD
Dear Fearless Leader JD,
I am so sorry that this even happened. Things have been going real good for me the past couple of days...lots of kids playing with me yesterday and the off leash park today. I wanted to throw my Mom some "bones" for all of this. It didn't take me long to figure out that this was demoralizing and humiliating. You can clearly see that from my second picture. I'm so relieved that you "cut me some slack" and have not thrown me out of the CLUB. Murph did not cooperate at all....I need to take some lessons from him. I'm much smarter than Murph, but he's got the balls....lots and lots of tennis balls....so he seems to be the "winner".
