Goldendoodle Coat Update - still not sure?

Hi guys

I thought I'd send an update as my pup is nearly 14 weeks old now and I'm still not sure what will happen with his coat! He is still pretty fluffy but is very wispy and wavy too. I've seen a lot of puppies that had wispy, finer hairs 

but it was straighter than mine so I'm having trouble getting an idea for what mine might turn into. 

Did anyone else have a doodle with wispy, wavy hair like mine? His back is very wavy and is pretty curly around his chest, ears and crown of head - I can't work it out! haha

It is too soon to tell. Waiting for the adult coat is part of the mystery of owning a doodle. There is a group called From Pup to Adult. You could find photos there of puppy vs adult coats. Enjoy that little fluffer-doodle!

I'm so impatient! You're right it certainly is a fun mystery wondering what it will be like. I find myself obsessing over it! I just haven't seen any like his one before.

It will change.  Don't hurry him growing up.  Many changes in store for you.  My pup (and my son) has very fine, wispy hair when babies.  They outgrew it.  My goldendoodle had the most wonderful coat you could ever wish for.  Hope yours is as nice.  (Take a look at my photos. There are some young Grouchos there.)

It will probably be a year or more before you will know how Gov's mature coat will be.  We'll be watching for updates! He has such a sweet face!

That's pretty much like Jade's hair right now. Jade is a Goldendoodle as well. She's about the same age. I just can't capture it in photos as well because she's black. Is the Governor's hair thick in places? Jade's seems to be thicker around her legs.

yes, Jade's does seem quite similar! Our is thick and pretty curly around the tops of the legs and hips especially. Also around the base of his ears and neck is very cotton-like soft curly hair coming through - does Jade have any of that? Jade is gorgeous by the way!

Yes! She has big curls, not tight ones. Her hair is very soft. I can't wait to see what she looks like as an adult.
I bet the governor is going to be very handsome.

They are all different and will have different coat types, but here are two pictures of Casey. The top one is him at 12 weeks old and the bottom one is a current one of him ( 2 ½ years old). This will at least give you some idea of how his coat may change.
