It is fun to guess, but obviously you won't know for sure until she stops growing. How big are her parents? Going on the assumption she was around 30lbs at 16 weeks, and her parents weren't 80lbs each, I will guess is the 65 to 70lbs range. That is taking her 16 week weight, multiplying by 2 and adding up to 10lbs. Using this formula was spot on for me, but may be completely off for someone else.
Myla is a F-1 goldendoodle with a standard poodle as her father. She is three and a half years old and weighs 63 pounds. When she was 16 weeks old she weighed 30 pounds so the formula that Amy and Annabelle gave you was bang on for her. When she was 21 weeks old she weighed 40.2 pounds. She weighed 63 pounds when she was 11 months old and has been that weight since. The formula for 16 weeks seems to be really accurate for the standard doodles on this website. I don't think it's as accurate for the mini-doodles but I might be wrong. It's so fun to watch and see what will happen! Whatever the weight, I think they're all gorgeous!
You are right, Wendy. The formula isn't very accurate for minis because they mature faster.
I think with minis you don't add the additional weight. Annabelle weighed 7lbs at 16 weeks. At her adult weight is 14lbs.
My golden doodle weighed 70 lbs. at her recent checkup. My vet told me that she needs to lose 10 pounds. He also told me that Science Diet has some good low calorie/high fiber foods. I have been told that vets are paid by Science Diet to push their products! The pet shop where I buy her food recommended something called "Dick Van Patten's Fat Dog, Natural Balance" I'm mixing that with the Taste of the Wild food that she has been on. That along with less treats and more exercise seems to be helping as she has lost around 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Until this past week, it has just been too hot in Alabama for her to go run at the dog park. We are going to the park now just about every day for exercise.
