Haley got a new stuffie on his Gotcha Day (1/8/2014). It was a very "tough" toy. Here are the remains:
Time to bury this one.
He had so much fun with the stuffie, as you can see, not only dissecting it but parading around with it and shaking it while growling that I just had to get him a new one. It arrived yesterday.
While Haley was outside I took the tags off it and placed it on the floor under the kitchen table. Haley came inside later and checked it out but left it alone. He did this occasionally for a couple of hours. After all it hadn't been "given" to him so it wasn't "his". Finally I did give it to him.
After an hour of "loving" the stuffie the comb was off the head and the "brains" revealed.
This tough toy will not last long either.
For all of you who are concerned, Haley is supervised and does not eat the dismembered parts. (Knock on wood.)

The funny thing is I always think of Haley as such a regal looking dog. He must roll with great dignity and finesse. Vern always looks scruffy and homeless.
When Haley rolls in anything except "possum poop" or Cypress needlees he shakes it off. They have to be physically removed.
They are really just disposable toys! But they do have fun disposing of them. Great photos!
Thanks Lori.
Anne, That dinosaur toy is made by a company called, goDog, and they will most likely replace it for you. It's guaranteed under their Chew Guard technology warranty policy.
Laurie, Haley has already used up is one time replacement. : )
Anne, Have you tried the brand, Fluff & Tuff? I think that they are more durable and cuter (not that the dogs care!) than goDog toys. Charlotte and Wally have a veritable menagerie, plus the plush balls are among their favorite toys. They're pretty costly, but they really hold up to a lot of abuse.
Thanks Laurie. I'll take a look.
RIP stuffies. Haley looks thoroughly satisfied!
He he, Hayley looks really adorable with the toy! Darwin does the same thing with stuffed toys.
The mighty molars strike again! Journey is a destroyer of soft toys and they are her favorite, but she will eat them and that bugs me. With the puppy in the house she has swiped some of his and done the deed, lightning fast, so he has to have his soft toys fix really watched. He has not been nearly as rough on his toys as she was as a pup. She loves them, and anything with a bounce in her jaw, or a squeaker makes her happy - until she starts shredding it. She loves them, oh so much - so I popped over to the Fluff & Tuff site and am please, guess there will be new toys soon,:)
