Greetings from Madison Wi....
Hi everyone.....
I am a new owner of a F1 male Labradoodle named Rusty. I'ts been about a month now since I have adopted him from an Amish breeder and farm near Platteville Wi. Rusty was the last of 11 pups sold and the only one of his coloring.... white. My 6 year old Twins and I are enjoying him eventhough the chew chew chew and more is driving us a little craaaaaaaaazy but we know he's exploring n teething. He is doing great with leash and walk training. Whew! Grateful for that. His first friend he made is a Poodle and a slight Lab mix according to his owner.... So that was an unexpected surprise. Lol.
One question for you all... Hopefully it's ok to post it here and not somewhere else. He's recently shedding alot which he has not up until this point. What I mean by shedding is lots of billowy hair pulled out of the brush. Is he seasonally shedding or is it coat transitioning into Adulthood? If anyone has any idea what kind d of coat he will have as an adult based on the pictures.... Please share.

Welcome to Doodle Kisses. I live across the lake in Michigan. There is probably a Wisconsin group, not sure how active it is if there is one.

He may be losing his puppy coat. That usually happens about 6-8 months and they shed like crazy. He is gorgeous and cute both. Spend lots of time training, training, training. Even playing is training. Every minute you spend now teaching him appropriate behavior will be returned 100 fold with a great dog over his lifetime.
