I have known for a while now that Doodles are special dogs, but just in the past couple of days, they have definitely proved it. My four year old kitty, Allie, just died suddenly the night before last. She has not been sick a day in her life and the only time I have ever taken her to the vet is for her shots. But the other night, while she was laying on my husbands chest "making biscuits", she just fell over and died. Evidently her heart just stopped.I was in complete shock and have been having a real tough time here lately trying to comprehend this and believe that she is gone. Somehow, "the girls", Morgan especially, know that I have not really been myself and that something is wrong. They have stayed right by my side even more than usual and just want to be close to me. Morgan even seems to "put her arm around me" as if she's trying to console me. It is the cutest thing. I know animals can sense things, but it sure helps you get thru some tough times when they are this smart and realize something is wrong.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a member of the family is very hard. I do agree that animals sense things... they will take care of you.
