Aaarrrrgghhhhhhhh. back from the groomers. Despite instructions she made him poodle-like , shaved portions on his snout. I am furious. His whole personality has been hijacked. He looks silly.

He is 5 months old. I cannot bear it. How long before he assumes his beautiful goldendoodle look. I am never taking him to the groomer again. NEVER

I am getting used to the new look. Flirted with the idea of changing his name ( Einstein) to Oppenheimer - he looked so different. But he is the same adorable playful happy guy.

Thanks for the link - photos are very helpful.

When we picked our girl up after first grooming I was stupefied and thought we would have  to change her name to "What The??"   - she was pouf-ed up like Pink Panther after a dryer run.....   and had a topknot!!!   Her nose/eye trim similar to that posted - - which was hilarious to me since the bangs were left as I had done them -  she reeked of perfume that took weeks to wear off, but at least after a good rain she looked more like a doodle. Time for a repeat and I admit to being more than a little hesitant

This EXACT thing happened to me and Reggie when he was 5 months. I wanted to cry. He looked like a total dork.

It was about a month and a half ago and now he finally looks shaggy and cute again (though was moderately shaggy after 3 weeks or so), and I've since purchased some scissors and clippers and am going to learn to do it myself!

I feel your pain! :(

I always tell the groomer NO PERFUME.  It makes me sneeze!  Groomers used to apply perfume to our Lab and the 2 of us would sneeze for a few days.  I am currently battling matting so I am trying to get the courage up for a summer cut.

I not only tell them 'no perfume, no powders' - I even ask what shampoo they use or take my own if needed.... this groomer lied to me, flat out.  I would be fine with sneezing, the headaches and eye watering are annoying.

Many years ago I put in time as a groomer, but now am limited with dexterity and strength - - sure wish I could do it all myself and I give what I can a whack.

Yes, I am considering a summer cut for ours, but due to our vacation and boarding simplicity - - she is blowing her coat now and I would not miss the little 'hair spiders' floating/running around the house!
