Toby is just over one, and we've noticed in this past week that he is really hungry - hovers around, begging with his eyes, hoping for more - but he's getting the amount of food that has satisfied him in the past. And in the past couple of days he seems to have extra skin - loose skin that needs to be filled! Heavens - he's not going to have another growth spurt, is he? He's already over 65 pounds, exceeding expectations by more than 10 pounds. I don't think he's a very big dog, as big dogs go, but still..... :)
My animals--cats and dogs, always eat more in the Fall. It is early, but we are approaching that season when they want to bulk up a bit so when the snow flies, they can hibernate.
Some dogs do eat better in the fall/winter, and not so great in the summer time. I don't think he will be growing height wise, but weight can go up and down.
