Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

In one week we will pick up our second golden doodle. Our first girl is 10 months old and named Daisy. We have been trying to come up with a flower name for the new girl too. This is what we've narrowed it down to: Iris, Maggie (short for magnolia) and Sugar or sugarbush. Yes, sugarbush is a real shrub that blooms with clusters of white flowers. Before Daisy came home we were leaning toward Lily for her.....but after we spent a weekend with her it was clear she was "Daisy".
So who do you think this looks like ?...........Iris, Lily, Maggie, Sugar....? or ??????????

So if I pick another one of these names, I leave the door of opportunity open for two more doodles??????????
I'd better pick carefully !!!!!!!!!!!
I love Iris! Iris and Daisy very cute. Lily too. Rhoda? (rhododendron - lol) Rose?

Also Fleur (wasnt that the skunk on Bambi?)
I was thinking "Petunia", but I'm pretty sure that's Porky Pig's girlfriend.
"Pansy" is cute, too.
And there is a type of daisy called a Shasta daisy...how about "Shasta"?
Are we really helping? LOL

We're just giving you more names to choose from but there is no clear choice by our members. Good luck! I am facing the same problem as we speak. Got about a dozen names but waiting to see him to make a choice.
This is great !!!! We thought we had thoroughly exhausted the flower names. But you guys are coming up with names we missed. We all know what quirky personalities these doodles have. So I'm leaning toward an off-beat kind of name.
I love Rhoda.
We like various versions of Rose---particularly Rosie. But the first thing that comes to mind when I hear Rosie is O'Donnell. Sorry----can't have that.
If you say "sweet pea" quickly it can sound like one word......"swee'pea". We call Daisy "sleepy doodle" often. I can see that one working.
We started with Iris---even long before my wife finally agreed to a 2nd doodle. I like it but I'm afraid it may be too straight laced for a doodle. But maybe having a prim and proper, ladylike name for a tom-boy will just make it more quirky.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Yes Daisy and Iris is pretty, yet prim. Daisy and Rhoda sound funny and quirky ... you can mentally picture a pair of real characters. Something people you meet will remember " I met these people with the cutest pair of doodles Daisy and Rhoda" ;o)

I don't think we came up with Cherry or Hazel previously. I like Hazel. That's an unusual name. We were in an obedience class with an English bulldog named Mabel. It just seemed so fitting. Those names sound like they should be friends----Hazel and Mabel. They would lay around and commiserate how hard it was growing up during WWII.
ROFL!
