I am so frustrated with trying to find harnesses to fit my dogs - think I have broken a molar or two in the process of gritting my teeth. I have tried six different brands and all don't fit. I just got through repackaging the Easy Walk to return to Amazon - now that was my most hopeful and I'm just deflated at this point. Why would they put the buckle in the armpit?
Can somebody throw me a bone - what is wrong with my dogs, they aren't deformed or abnormal size - I accidentally found a soft harness that fits Journey, but needed it for Elmer and it was a total no way. This has gotten so tremendously aggrivating and I'm just really stressed at the moment - life is a bit bumpy right now anyway, but all I want to do is take my dogs out without choking them or damaging myself. I gave up on finding one that I could use in the car, nothing fit.
I've scoured here and I guess I'm in need of something totally outside the box - could somebody toss me a bone please?

I have three pet supply stores near us and nobody has one that fits either dog - one did promise me that the one that I just put in a box would fit, but they were out of size I needed so I ordered myself .... didn't work.
Try these: Hopefully the coupon code is still good. This gives a donation to the Doodle Rescue Collective. These harnesses are similar to the Gentle Leader Harness. However the two main differences is that it isn't so low on the front of the dog which I've always hated, and also there is a hook on the top of the back for a leash to be hooked as well. You can use a leash hooked in the front between the front legs like the GL or you can use one on the back or you can use both for training purposes. I just bought them for Lucy and AnnaBelle and I love them. They also have several places to adjust the fit. The only issue I had was that AnnaBelle could possibly grow out of hers as the one size was too large and wouldn't adjust down small enough and the smaller one just fit with very little room for her to grow. Lots of Info on the site about how to fit.
HARNESS UPDATE!! Ok the coupon code, DoodleRescue, is active on both websites: www.usadogshop.com and www.FreedomNoPullHarness.com. We have a limit on how many coupons we can do a month. We have to do this otherwise they end up on those discount coupon sites and we would go bankrupt. Thank you USA Dog Shop Welcome USA Dog Shop offers pet products made in the USA. I second the vote for the freedom no pull harness. We had trouble finding the proper harness for Truffle, too. After reading reviews on DK, we started using it w/ Truffle a few months ago (we hook it front and back for training) and it's easy to place over his head (unlike other harnesses that require the dog to step into them) and hook. I do agree that the sizing is a little tricky - we ordered a medium and it was big for a bit - Truffle finally seems to be growing into it. If you don't find the info on sizing you're looking for on the web site, you should give Jessica a call - I understand she's very helpful! Good luck.
Thank you! I have the site up and am perusing - love the point of origin, hooray - and frankly the idea of two points of contact/connection suits me.
I used the Easy Walk for many years without a problem, and the buckle isn't in JD's armpit. I do know that many people mistakenly put them on backwards, though, or I should say upside down. The easiest thing is to place the ring where the leash attaches at the front of the dog's chest first, and then fasten the straps.
I couldn't agree more Karen...I love Ellie's Easy Walk...it's amazing!
Yep the company was sold :(
PetSafe is exactly the ones I ordered.
I was impressed with quality of workmanship and materials, but still a no go.
