Hey everyone.. i have a 7 month old Goldendoodle.. he is about 65 pounds now and is very wild..he jumps on everyone.. counter surfs.. and is VERY mouthy still!! i am contemplating getting an electric collar..set on VERY low just for in the house use.. when he is jumping up on people and nipping and things of that nature.. he goes to puppy classes has a trainer and gets several walks a day. this behavior is just not acceptable, as i cannot even have friends over the house. if i ever have a child he cannot be nipping and jumping like he is now.. he is in a teenage bratty stage i guess and is refusing to listen to me. anyways has anyone tried one of these collars? if so how did it work.. which did u use? and when will this behavior stop?? at what age?? thanks again

Maybe I didn't mean certifed Adina - I guess I meant - legitimate, successful, experienced, recomended or even titled. Someone you are reasonably confident that they know what they are doing or are following a specific program that fits with your philosophy and has shown to be successful.

Have you checked out the training group?  There are lots of great discussions there that might be helpful....or just start a discussion that you can continue to update as you move forward.

I'm not sure of where you are located but I highly recommend checking out Off Leash K9 Training. Their website is www.offleashk9training.com and they have locations in many different areas now. My Tanner was a hell raiser as a puppy, jumping, counter surfing, mouthy, and overall did not listen to a word I said. Since his training, he is the dog I've always wanted. It sounds so cheesy but its true!

If you have any questions about it, direct message me! There are a few other people on here I think who have used OLK9 as well. Regardless, I recommend using the guidance of a trainer when using an ecollar. :) best of luck to you and your pup!
