Has your dog ever stole from the pet store??

I like to take Max to the different pet stores around town, we usually walk and it's always a good time for him and I. I took him today to the local petvalu which was having a charity event for a local rescue group. I was waiting to have his picture done and he stole a treat! It was only a 45c cookie (and I did pay for it) but he's never done that before, he's sniffed but not taken. My little jailbird doodle. As we were standing in line to pay for the stolen cookie he kept trying to shake paws with the guy behind me who had bully sticks in his hand. What a ham he is. Has your doodle ever stolen from the pet store?

Bubba once chewed half of a mini bully stick while I was asking an employee about switching his food!! He gave me those sad puppy dog eyes like, "ma, it was right in front of me, how could I say no?!?" So of course, I had to buy it so he could chew the rest of it!! Now we go into the pet store and I let him sniff out and pick his own treat for the day, it's our little bonding time when it's just the two of us out and about ;)

Aww Meghan they sure can get you with those beautiful eyes can't they? That's nice that you let him have it, and pick out his own treat, he's one lucky dood. :)

They sure can!! That's how he gets out of trouble every time! And he is our baby since we haven't had kids yet, so he is spoiled rotten :)

HA! Nope, we haven't had this happen......YET.    I do suspect it has nothing to do with my wonderful training practices of "Leave it" either.  It's more due to my avoiding that aisle altogether since I make all their treats.  But get either of them within 3' of a bully stick or cookie and I can see myself yelling LEAVE IT about 50 times!!! And I agree, why would they put them within dog reach in the first place?
