Today started out just fine.  We got up about 6:30 and planned our day.  The ordinary brush teeth, eat breakfast, feed the pups and go for a walk.  I had a doctors appt. that I could not miss, so we went for our doggie walk early.  When we got home we put the pups in the house and desided to clean some stuff out of the garage because we still had time before we had to leave to town.  My husband doesn't carry a wallet, just his money wrapped around his credit cards with a rubber band (weird, but he doesn't like sitting on a wallet).  Well, he tossed his "wallet" on the counter before we went to the garage to clean some stuff.  When we were done (about 30 mins.) we came in and he went into the living room.  At that point he started screaming at Roxy.  I thought he'd left his slippers (which he always does and she loves to chew) where she could get them, but no it was his make shift wallet and we couldn't see any money or rubber band and the credit cards were strewn about.  My Spencer was overseeging and so we didn't know who had inhaled what!!!  He had about $100 in small bills wrapped around his cards secured by a large rubber band.  Well  I immediately called the Vet and she said bring them in right now.  The bills could wad up and cause a blokage. So there we go.  Roxy was the first suspect so they took her first.  We couldn't stay because I had a very important Dr.s appt.  They called about an hour latter and the indused vomitting worked and produced $64.00 worth of serial # matched bill that we can now go to the bank to get new money for and Roxy will be fine.  Spencer probably didn't get to inhale any of the cache so we didn't treat him.  So, if you have stealers like I have in Roxy, don't leave anything around near the edge of a counter.  Roxy is over 2 yrs old and she still obviously loves to take a treasures off counters!

To save $54.00 you spent $500.00?
Hehe!
Glad you still had the credit cards!   I would love to hear you calling the credit companies, "Hello, I need to order a new card."  "Why??? Well, errrrrr, hmmmm,  my doodle ate my credit card and money.  We got the money back, but the card did not survive the ahemmmm trip."  ha ha ha
My Bruno chomped up my ATM card - when I brought it to the bank to be replaced she just smiled and went into the back to make me a new one. I was quite embarassed but she acted like it happened all the time!
Yep, I have had A Day.  Glad to hear that Roxy is okay.
O'dear. Sorry to hear... Counter surfers.. Glad to hear Roxy is o.k.

I am so glad my dood does not surf....also glad yours is okay.

Now that being said, DH you could carry a man purse - LOL!

Glad Roxy is fine and that you at least recovered some of the money.  I always thought that with Rua we'd be safe from counter surfing, but she jumps up and down like a pogo stick, hence KangaRua, until she can reach whatever is near the edge.
Now that is A DAY!  I'm so glad that they're both fine....never a dull moment with Doodles.
Oh my goodness, that is such a day. I am glad they are okay.
Our Vet bill for Roxy's little gobbling season was $182.75.  The recovery amount was $64.  So we had a net loss of $118.75.  It could have been a whole lot more if we didn't get her in right away.  Our pet insurance does cover this, but we have a $200 deductable.  Oh well, these things happen when you are a dog owner.  I'm so glad we caught it early and could get her treated.  Now today my DH is going to take the recovered money to the bank.  It is wrapped in a towel from the Vet.  It'll be pretty funny when the teller watches the unveiling and hears the story!

Oh Boy  I am glad Wilson is not a surfer  lol  but I am glad Roxy is okay, and I hope your DR. apt went well.
