When you come into our house from the back yard, you have to step onto the carpet, before you turn left onto the hardwood floor. I try to wipe Cassie's feet every time she is coming in from the back yard, but sometimes she's too fast for me and runs in before I can grab both her and a towel (plus, others in the family regularly forget to clean her feet). So, I have to come up with a better solution, before that part of the carpet starts looking like it's taken one of those mud spa vacations. I thought of these Tacky mats we used in front of the Clean Room in a medical supply company I used to work for years ago. I found some sites on the Internet, where they claim these could work even on doggy feet. I'd prefer to hear from some of you - have you used them, how well do they work? If not - what else has worked for you?

I have not done any research really - this is my first step, asking the Doodlekisses.com members if they've tried them on the doggy paws. They are sticky on top, so when you step on them, they take off lint, or even dirt from your shoes... depends how strong the adhesive is. They usually come in 30 sheets, when one is not sticky enough any more, you just peel it off and throw it away. Just like a lint roller works on doggy hair on your furniture or clothes, only this is a gigantic version of it :-)
Here are some links - if a link is too long, you'll probably have to copy it and paste in sections. Keep in mind that these are just the first ones that I Googled - not my personal pick because of quality, or price, or anything. Also - some vendors will give you prices per mat (i.e. 30 sheets), and some per case (i.e. so many mats X 30 sheets)...
I would be interested to hear if anyone has used them and how they liked it.
I tell Sadie to wait, and she USUALLY will sit on a rug just inside the door until I can dry her off, then tell her ok and she bounces off. Luckily if she doesn't stop right away it's a tile floor, but then she makes a mad dash for the living room and up on the couch. She knows when it's raining and I let her back in she has to sit and be dried off first but for other days it would be nice to have something like that if they work.
