Hello, we'd like to introduce our new baby girl and us...

Hello, just joined DK and would like to introduce ourselves. My name is Sherri and my husband is Phil, we are a very young retired couple living in Central FL. We just adopted a 10 month old standard Goldendoodle a week ago. She is called Marabelle, aka; Mare Bear, which was her previous nick name.

She is pretty big already, weighing 60lbs and has very long legs, nose is at counter height. Nice to have her already potty trained and knows most the commands. She already is doing very well getting along with our 4 cats too. So far she is a wonderful dog, and we all already love her to pieces.

I know I'm going to have lots of questions, and somehow came across your site when searching for information on Goldendoodles.

Welcome to DK - you are going to love it here. Lots of experts that are always willing to take time with help and encouragement. Marabelle is beautiful and reminds me of a female version of my Stuart! We are also newly retired and live in Ft. Myers so if you are ever down this way - come see us!

Thank you, we were just at Sanibel for two weeks in June. We love camping there in our camper. We try to get there at least every other year.

Welcome to DK ... Marabelle is beautiful. Great grooming job! There is a meet-up group in Jacksonville that gets together once a month for a romp. If you are interested I think there is a Jacksonville Group that you can join here that should get you that info. We will be down in January and will be meeting up with them. Only thing better than one doodle is a whole bunch of them playing together! Enjoy DK ... so much info here! Where are you in Central FL. We moved back to Ohio from Orlando about 5 years ago. We were there for 10 years. We are newly retired as well.

Thanks for the info on Jax group, kind of far for us. We are actually in Winter Springs, just NE of Orlando, the hubs worked for the City of Orl., and just retired a couple years ago. My Dad is from Ohio.
