Looking at him now it is almost to the point that you would believe he has mange. We are concerned and are taking him to the vet. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's not at all unusual for an F1 goldendoodle to shed, but usually not so heavily at such a young age. It does sound like he needs to be seen by the vet to rule out mites and/or mange as well as other diseases that cause hair loss in puppies.

I hope he's ok. definitely see a vet.

maybe he's losing his puppy coat really early? Not sure...

he could also just be going through the coat change early, but i would have him checked.

can you post a picture? maybe we can see if it looks like normal puppy coat shedding.
Thanks for the replies! He is in bed for the night so ill post tomorrow
Falling out in clumps....doesn't sound normal. Looking forward to seeing a pic.

Let us know what the vet says. This sounds like too much hair loss to be shedding in your pup.

Good news. Vet said definitely loosing his puppy cost. He had a full exam and he checks out great. I guess we will continue to use the swifter and vac a little while longer on our floors. Just thankful we have all hard wood and no carpet
I am glad to her this.
What a big relief! So glad it's nothing serious!
