Thanks

Oh goodness. when will they learn. No jerky here! I'll let other dog owners know.

Good idea

For those who do not want to make their own treats and whose dogs like chicken jerky, Tyson makes True Chews chicken jerky from USDA American human grade chicken, produced in Iowa. They are available at Petsmart as well as other retailers.

True Chews

I had not seen these at Petsmart.  I'm going to look next time we go.  Thanks for the tip.

Sheri, here's the store locator from the True Chews website:

Thanks Karen good to know.

Nice to know. I do have to make Bellas treats as I am still trying to rule out her suspected sensitivity to chicken. The vet probably would have blamed the chicken and not the product if Bella got sick from this jerky.

Check those Milo's products again. They're made by Del Monte, and I would be very surprised if they aren't using third-party food brokers to purchase their ingredients.

I just looked at the Milo's website, and "made in China" is the least of the problems with their treats. Even if the other treats are made in the U.S. (which I doubt), they contain some of the worst ingredients imaginable, including BHA. Stay far away from that brand.

I'm still buying the Trader Joe's chicken strips for the dogs. They say all the right things like ingredients just chicken, made in USA. I sure hope my trust is not misplaced.

I forgot about those. As much as we can trust any commercial product, I think you can trust those.
