I wanted to let all of you know what has happened since we bought our second generation mini goldendoodle, Molly. She came to us from a breeder in Oregon, and found the breeder from the owner recommended labradoodle site. She was the runt of the litter and traveled to Houston beside the crate of her brother who was the largest of the littler. I was shocked at the size difference. According to the breeder because her mom is 35 lbs and the poodle dad was 25 lbs....she will probably weight around the 25 lb mark. I have never had one this smart...she is leash trained, crate trained, knows her commands (come, sit, stay, speak, no bite, and am working on down), very gentle with our grandson and loves everyone...best one is she is house broken. Of course, I am worn out taking her out every hour to two hours...but she has started going to the door (sneaky sometimes she just wants to romp around in the backyard). I cannot let her loose in the yard because we live on the lake and are in the process of putting a mesh between the iron fence rungs so she will not get out. I have not been able to get her around other dogs....my vet said wait till she has all her shots...so we still have 6 weeks to go. She is 3 months old today, Nov. 17th. She is a live wire and very active and happy. She only weighs 9 lbs and that is due to the fact that she just nibbles a couple of bits and is a really fussy eater. I have her on Innova moistened dry food and a couple of teaspoons mixed in from Merrick canned puppy food. Eating so little really concerns me...I am going today to get NutriCal and supplement once a day. Anyone ever use this product???? I sorta want another one in the near future. I just don't think I can handle another puppy right now. At 58, I realize why we have our children in our twenties. Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lizette
PS I added some pics of my grandson, Jaden playing with Molly and of course a solo of my cuddle bug Jaden (very proud first time oma)!
