Home again, home again, jiggedy jig...

So, I survived leaving Quincy for four whole days.  We had a lovely woman staying here and she did send texts messages and even a picture reassuring me that Quincy was fine.  They took nice long walks and tired him out -  smart lady.  She did mentioned he was attached to her hip-I did not ask if he went into the bathroom with her, but I would not be surprized...

We actually missed the year anniversary of bringing him home, but got to come home to him instead - a day and a year later.  He was obviously glad to see us and got lots of belly rubs all night and again today. 

It was wonderful to see my people son (he laughed good naturedly at his new name) and spend some really fun days eating, drinking and laughing as we toured Disney.  We ate at some fantastic restaurants including Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian and Monsieur Paul at Epcot. What we saved with his discounts we spent on great food and wine! 

I still hate travelling but am very glad I got to see and hug the #1 son.

So happy to hear you had a wonderful trip! And how great to have somebody stay with your doodle son. I have not had vacation without the dogs in 3.5 years (that's how old Monty is) and I have a list of kennels to go look at in the near future. I would rather have somebody stay at our house, but at this point, I don't have anyone.

BTW, you have a very handsome son.

Yup!  We took him down to the beach tonight and the first thing he did was head for a big fat bird carcass!  DH took it to dump in the garbage, but Quincy kept after the spot to find feathers etc.  He did run in the waves and get all sandy and wet, too.  He just ran upstairs, I am sure he is on my pillow waiting for me!  Great to be home!!!
