Housetraining on Pee Pee Pads

My mini doodle Ellie is finally getting the hang of going on pee pee pads. From the beginning I laid out two pads in my apartment - one in the foyer close to the door and another one in the living room. She's learned to go on both pads but I want her to get use to going to the one in the foyer until she can go outside.

How do I get her going only on one pad? (specifically the one in the foyer)

If I forget to replace any of the pads, she just goes in the area where the pad would normally be. How do I break this habit??

When we first brought Fenway home, I left a few pads down....just in case....and he would pee on them......then shred them. Talk about GROSS....that is something you do not want to have to clean up! He still shreds everything paper that he can manage to find!

Last night I tried moving the living room pad 2 feet towards the other pad. So far she's utilizing the "feel" of the pad to go where she's suppose to go..
