If you got her before she was four-months old, your vet should have a record of her weight at that time. The rule of thumb is to double the weight at 16 weeks, and then add 5 pounds for a small dog and 10 for a larger one.
Is Kiwi a mini? If so she will probably not get any bigger. Daphne was finished growing by the time she was 6 months old. She weighs 21 lbs. They say the smaller they will be, the quicker they are finished growing.
Kiwi was unplanned so to speak and was a surprise...Her and her sisters and one brother were given away to loving homes. Her mom is a goldendoodle and so is her dad. Not sure if she is a mini :/ .
Too. Dang. Cute!
This is just about what Ned weighed at 7 months and at age six he weighs 27-28 pounds. This is when the smaller doodles stop growing. The 4 month rule doesn't work for the smaller doodles since they reach maturity sooner.
I agree with some of the others. If she is a mini she is probably done growing. Charlie is a medium ALD and weighed 38 at 8 mos and almost 4 yrs still weighs 38 - 40 lbs depending on how many "cookies" he eats in a week! LOL
Your Kiwi girl is absolutely a beautiful girl.
This is good to hear. Olive was supposed to be no bigger than 30 pounds, but she is 33 pounds now at 8 months so hopefully she is done growing. :)
