DH: "I think Chewie has too many toys. You need to stop buying"

Me: "No way! Chewie does NOT have too many toys! And I buy mostly to replace toys that are broken, old...or out of style." End of discussion.

But then I thought to myself, How many is "TOO MANY" toys?

How many (active) toys does your doodle have at any given time?

+++++++++++++++

Then I also thought...who cares if Chewie really has "too many" toys!?!...I love my little doodle and think he's super duper cute playing with the toys. I will NEVER stop buying!! :)

Love the JW toys...especially the new crinkle ball...

You're welcome Schulz. Wink. From Chewie.

I don't know how many is too many, but Chewie certainly seems to be enjoying them all! Very cute collage!

Thanks Karen.
The collage's done using an iPhone app.

Cooper had lots of toys, then we moved in with the inlaws and their dog destroyed some. Coopers favourites (ok my favourites) were put away for safe keeping, and we bought new toys. When we moved out and we unpacked, i realized just how many toys Cooper has.

She has about 20 stuffies/stuffingless toys, 10 outside balls, 1 frisbee, 2 inside balls, 2 treat dispensing toys... plus we have about 10 cat toys

Wow. Sounds like a great collection, Kaytlin. I'm going online to shop for more toys now :)

These are the only toys that Bailey is allowed to play with.  She is a destroyer of anything stuffed and she not only tears them up...she eats them!  I found a fantastic company for indestructable fun toys (the pink, orange, blue, and green toys).  It is called West Paw Design.  They are very "rubbery" and fun but she absolutely can not destroy them!!!  She has been known to chew up kongs so I am thrilled that I found these! The red kong in the pic is full of teeth holes and will be tossed soon.  The split antlers are fabulous for chewing as well.  I love stuffed toys and have one or two that I let her have for a few minutes (under a watchful eye) until she gets destructive....then sadly they get put away.  Oh, by the way, these are usually scattered around the living room floor.  :)

I looooove those West Paws toys, Gail! Just discovered 'em about a month ago. The boys think they're fantastic fun to play with but I haven't found a tooth mark in any of them yet! They're like Bailey - not only do they destroy, but then very quickly eat, so I've really struggled to find things they can play with safely.

I don't know when enough is either, lol, Oliver has a laundry basket full of them, he has to have the hard rubber ones or the unstuffed ones.  Otherwise he destroys them in 5 min.  There are toys all over this house, I could care less, he takes them out of his crate and basket, every morning, and I put them away every night.  Now if I could train him to put them away like I did when I taught him to get a toy from the basket.  Have tried, doesn't seem to want to learn to do that, lol....

I love when Chewie sticks his head into the toy bin to get his toys. The one he wants is always at the bottom so he has to stick his head all the way in. Looks really cute.

Clearly the ratio of toys to dog is directly related to their cuteness level!

You're right Shannon.
Since doodle cutest level is INFINITE, the number of toys they should  have is infinite too!
