Our Malley just turned 3.  She is a 55 lb F1B Goldendoodle.  We have noticed that she sometimes leaves her morning food and wants to eat later in the day.  We kept her at 3 meals a day until she was 1 and then switched her to 2 times a day.  She does get some treats.  Do your dogs eat 2 x per day or 1 x per day?  Comments?

Mine eat twice a day with treats here and there.

Mine eat twice a day but many just want one meal--if leaving her food out all day to let her "graze" is not a problem, I would do that--mine gobble up their meals, so not an option here...

Meg is just turning 11 months, she is fed twice a day and then works for treats.

Maddie is 3 years old and sometimes leaves her morning meal until supper. If she does that I only give her that one feeding.
At other times she eats her meal in the morning and also has an evening meal.
She never gobbles up her food - she's more of a grazer

Alma's the same way.  We just leave her food down and if she eats in the morning she gets another cup in the evening.  But if that's not gone by 8pm we pick it up.  Our vet says she is healthy so we don't worry about her eating habits.  She always eats at least once a day and has plenty of fresh water.

Ours are fed at 11-ish and 4-ish.  Neither would EVER turn down food and one scarfs hers down in about 40-some seconds.  I know.  I've timed it!

Twice a day. Boris is like a Hoover and Riley is a slower eater so Boris goes to his crate when he's finished on my say so otherwise he may just finish Riley's too. They also get kongs filled with yoghurt and fruit sometimes during the day or a bully stick.

Brenna is a grazer, not a glutton. Kali is my rescue lab/terrier, and she is a grazer too. I just fill up the feeder and they eat a couple of times a day.

Neither one is overweight.

My two eat twice a day and they gobble it down. Oliver is just one and the vet still wants him to have a lunch. We do a lot of walking and playing. When I give him lunch I steam some green beans for Ellie so she doesn't feel left out and isn't getting extra calories that will make her overweight.

We feed our doodles two times a day. They inhale their food. At 4:50 they start to tell me it is almost 5:00 pm and time to eat. I am sorry I have no experience with a doodle who does not wolf his food like there is no tomorrow. Good luck with that. (Note one of mine weighs 94 and is now on a diet. You probably won't have that problem!)

Both of mine get fed twice a day. Monty, the older one, is not a big eater (NO idea how he got to 90 lbs...oh wait, the treats...) so I have to use toppings on his kibble. The young one, Auggie, used to gobble his food right up, but lately he has been slowing down. He might leave some of his food, but makes sure Monty's bowl is all clean if Monty does not finish his food. If there are any leftovers, Auggie would eat them around 2 or 3pm. The same happens with dinner.

I put food out in the morning and sometimes they eat a little then, but mostly towards the evening. They do get treats, prob. too many...
