I got to wondering, how often do you bathe your doodle? I know that some people give their dog a bath every six months. Doodles aren't just dogs though, so how often do you bathe your doodle? Huff gets a bath once a week. He just got one yesterday:)

Every 6 weeks, except August through October, when his allergies are flaring...then he gets a bath every week.

Never....LOL!

lol

LOL....

As always...you make me laugh...and laugh...and laugh...and...

But...doods really don't seem to need baths as much as the average dog...hmmmm...

It seems that they are quite the Super Dog in that respect...and in Many respects!!  Lol...

I give Sasha a bath when she needs one...and that depends upon so many things...

I do like her clean and smelling fresh...but...Doods Always seem to smell good!!

At least Sasha seems to...

These doods are just the Best!!

At least in my humble opinion...(smile)

Right on!  Never... lol
OMD Vern you little (er big) scamp you!
Bridget get a bath about once a month.  She tolerates it but definitely doesn't like it!

Every two weeks in general - but this past winter he got a bath a little before Thanksgiving and then another before Christmas and then he didn't get another one until March.  But, now we are back to craziness so he's been getting one every two weeks.

What shampoo do y'all use?  I wish I could tell you what I use but it's under the sink and I'm too lazy to get up and get it... maybe in a bit my dh will walk through here and I'll ask him to go get it.  Rocky has been a little itchy.

Silk n Silk - it doesn't suds but really works well and rinses easily

WTD  every six months!   How about the people who say that for them to do the same!

How about when they are dirty or oily.   That would be about two weeks.   Common sense folks.  Most responses to this discussion seem right to me.   Two weeks and I do it!!

I agree. There's no comparison between dogs and humans when it comes to bathing. Dogs don't have sweat glands like we do. Very few dogs get "oily", especially if they're brushed a lot.

I don't know...sweat glands or not...things that roll in grass and play in dirt and lie on the floor are not as clean as things that don't.  My hair and skin are dry after a bath too...but if I didn't bathe for a few days I'd get back to normal in a jiffy.  Dogs may not have sweat gland b.o. but the water that runs off me when I shower tends to be clear or soap colored...and I bathe considerably more often than my dogs whose water runs tan at best ;-)  I still come back to the Frontline Plus requirements which essentially say to me that within 2 days oil glands are back spreading oil sufficiently to spread Frontline so they are probably just fine and back to normal in that time period.

I realize dogs and humans are very different, but I do wish I had time to give Rosco and Boca a weekly bath.  It would be a welcome clean thing in my house.
