Darwin has been having a blast playing in the backyard this fall. But the other day I noticed he had bright orange stains on all four paws, and one on his hind leg. There are fall leaves and apples on the ground in the backyard, could it be from either of these? I washed him thoroughly and none of the stains came out. Does anyone have any ideas of a safe way to get this out? I was thinking hydrogen peroxide but I wanted to check here first, does that seem safe?

Stains and all, Darwin is just so handsome.  Our Springer gets grass stains, red clay stains all the time, but they seem to fade off for the most part.  We do notice that he looks beautifully white after being washed by our groomer though, so there MUST be a product that really gets the stains off white coats.

Try laundry Bluing.  It works great for getting stains out of light colored coats.

WOW... The stain on his hip is odd...like he sat in something...but his feet I could see... sometimes Tori's feet turn orangey and I used to think she stepped in her pee after she goes, but I just think it has to do with the change in the acid in the soil with the change of seasons.  I will definitely be watching to see what helps!  Always stunning, Darwin!
Well at this point I'm unsure of whether I should try the Laundry stuff, or just let it grow out...

SDon't know if it works but I saw this on WikiAnswers:

It is not unusual for Maltese to stain yellow on their feet from urine, mud and other things. A good formula to remove this yellow color is one made of 50% liquid Woolite and 50% human hair peroxide (20 volume), dilute this 50% with water, add a little conditioning shampoo. Shampoo this mixture into the stained portion of the coat and let remain for 3 to 5 minutes. Wash out and shampoo and condition as normal.
