Thanks for the nice compliment on JD's beard. I don't really do anything to it, though, except wash his face with a warm washcloth. :)
your welcome! oh wow! then hes just perfect! lol.. really though, it is soo pretty! i trim midas because it changes color so i just end up keeping it short..
Karen, doesn't the material the bowls are made of make a difference with the bacteria that can grow in the bowls - also causing beard staining?
Yes, I've read that plastic bowls can contribute to the beard staining, due to bacteria getting into the plastic. I use stainless steel bowls and wash them daily.
The only time Clancy's beard looks good is right after he is groomed. She seems to be cutting it shorter also which I like on him because it accents his Disney dog look. It is time for us to get new water bowls. I hate to change from the travel bowls but I guess I need to. Both Gordie and Ned 'dance' in the water bowls whenever they can. Sigh.
I shave Kona's beard because he is a dribbler. I swear he drinks then keeps his mouth open while he walks around the house dribbling all over the place. Kona's chin is never dry. Owen has a dryer mouth and no staining. I thought the staining was from saliva.
