Quincy is officially a late blooming counter surfer. He ate a huge, fat loaf of very stale Italian bread down to the crumbs. I am at work- DH is calling vet. Any words of wisdom. Please tell me he will be okay.
Update--- DH found the entire loaf, with just a bite mark- behind the couch! yikes----thankful, yet! you sneaky counter surfer dood! We have to make sure everything is off the counters these days. funny thing is, this morning I purposely pushed and hid "treat" basket full of goodies further back. Never thought he would be interested in stale bread that
I intended to grind for bread crumbs. never know!

Can you blame him ? He sees all that great food you guys make, and eat, and post on FB. Plus he smells it too. So he just wanted to see what he was missing. Apparently a loaf of stale bread probably knocked the wind out of his sails!! LOL
Lori, My DD's doodle ate most of a loaf of expensive cranberry walnut bread from Whole Foods including half of the bag. He was fine, but every time I buy that bread, Owen is sure it is for him... I have to keep it on top of the refrigerator! I'm so glad Quincy only took a bite, but watch out for bread from now on, if Owen is any indication of behavior.
I can't believe he didn't eat the loaf of bread!!!! My two eat everything not nailed down and have taken counter surfing to new heights these past two months and have figured out how to open the pull out garbage cabinet. This is a pretty heavy cabinet with two trash cans in it, and it appears if we leave it open even by an inch or two, they have managed to slide it open. We have had 4 episodes of them consuming every disgusting thing in the garbage can, including aluminum foil, which luckily came back up 2 days later from one and out the other end from the other the next day. One time there was a whole chicken carcass in there and every morsel was gone!!! Besides the worry of all that they have put into their bellies, the mess is enough to bring me to tears once. I did learn they don't like to eat coffee grinds, but must think it's like confetti and play with it by shaking the filter all over the house as they run around with it!!! We have since put two methods of securing the cabinet, it's just taking me awhile to remember to always secure it. So to me, a loaf of bread would have been one of the safest things they could have eaten! But I feel your pain
