I took Quincy in for grooming this morning.  He was a mess of tangles so I guess I should not be surprised so hear his hair is short.  My DH picked him up and I was wondering why he did not call me here at work.  When I called him, he said it was because he was afraid to...it's short, "pretty much a crew cut".  DH said his face is still long and his tail length, too.

Quincy has really thick most curly hair that tangles so easily.  I know, it will grow!

I will post pictures later.  sigh.

OKAY- here he is...looking long, lanky and shaved....

sorry it's blurry, he was shivering! (JK)

His head looks like a Texas beauty queen from the 70's!  - I still say they did not have to shave his legs and back-he could have been left much longer, but I guess it's easier to shave than scissor cut.

Awww Lori...well at least his face and tail are unscathed...as you say it will grow back...but understand how upsetting that must be!

LOL, we've all been there. It will grow. And Quincy will feel great without the tangles. :-)

Aw, don't be afraid! It will grow!

I bet you will go home and find a very happy Quincy. I know I always feel better after a hair cut :) I have low standards for my dogs...they just have to be clean when I pick them up. LOL I bet he looks just great.

We've been there too! It will grow back. Hugs.

Chester seems to have more energy when he has a big hair cut.

we have all been there- Their personalities soon shine through.

I'm always nervous when Libby gets groomed even though the groomer follows instructions!  I'm sure Quincy will be perfect!

I let Alma's fur grow long and just recently took her to the groomer.  What a difference it made in her fetching game!  She can now see the ball.  I hadn't realized how it affected her sight.  Now she leaps in the air after the ball bounces and usually catches it way up high.  I honestly think it's the best part of her day after we take our walk.

Oh Lori ~ I think most of have been there at some point!  I actually love my doodles a little shorter on the body and legs.  I always make sure their heads and tails can be run through with a comb before I take them to my groomer.  Looking forward to seeing photos!  I bet he will look cute and feel so good!

Lori you just gave me a Chuckle!! My DH would have done the same thing....So Funny how Men are All alike like that! LOL....It will Grow back quickly. Happened to me with Oliver once and as long as the head and tail are long, they look like themselves in a couple of weeks. ;)

It will be okay :)  At least he'll be tangle-free :)

Sorry.  We took the boys yesterday and I was really worried because we haven't brushed Ned for about 3 weeks!  She said his coat was tangled but not matted and that not brushing  it kept it from fraying at the ends and causing some mats.  Yay for us!  Ned is 5 though.
