I FOUND THE LABRADOR RETRIEVER CONNECTION IN MY ALD!!!

Today I got from Lani's breeder her Pedigree.  It only goes back to her great-great grandparents so I started researching them.  I was able to find out using her great-great grandparents names and tracing backwards that her great-great-great-great grandfather was a champion Labrador Retriever!  I think it's kinda awesome because I've heard how hard it is to trace back to a Labrador Retriever with ALD's!  I'm so psyched!!!

This is really cool.  I was able to go back five generations with Guinness....no Labs, just Poodles, Cockapoos and Doodles.

I can't find any cocker spaniel... probably many generations back.  So far it's Labrador Retriever, Poodle, and Australian Labradoodle.  This really is a lot of fun :)

I think one of the other breeds that was said to be in the ALDs were Puli.  Someone who had their ALD tested said he was 25% poodle, 25% puli, and 25% cocker spaniel.  I can see the puli and poodle in my ALD but not necessarily the cocker or labrador.  Genetics is so interesting.

 He is also Tegan/Rutlands background.
