Ohhhhhh..this is just too adorable for words...
Sasha is a little Big for this now...75lbs...but...when she was a little smaller...she would Love to climb into my Moms' lap!!
First...she would just lay her head on my Mom's lap...you know...just giving her that "puppy dog look"...lol
Then...with just the least bit of encouragement...Sasha would begin...Every So Slowly...to inch her way...Veeerrrryyy Slowly...Up...into the Wonderful lap of my Mother!
When she finally got her last leg up...Sasha would have her head on my Mom's shoulder...her arms...I mean legs and paws wrapped around my Mom's shoulder's...and you knew...you just knew...that Sasha wanted to stay there for quite a while!! (smile)
I am so sad that we never took a picture of this...
I think we were just so into laughing...and enjoying the moment....A moment that I will never forget!
But...my Mom passed away recently...and...this is a Very Precious Memory that I have of my Mom and Sasha...
Interestingly..when Sasha came along...my Mother was actually afraid of dogs...big or small...So...to see this Great Big Polar Bear...in my Mom's lap...with my Mom just laughing...and laughing...was very Special for us...
Oh...the Healing Wonders Of A Doodle...
Mom...I Miss You Very Much...and So Does Sasha...
Thanks Beth...
I appreciate your thoughts about my Mom...
I love that commercial too!
Of course...after just writing what I did...it brought tears to my eyes...(smile)
Life is Good...Family and Friends are the Most Important part of Life...and our Doodles...well...They Are A Member Of Our Family...aren't they...
Susan so sorry to hear about your mom. You brought back memories for me too.... and happy tears. My Golden Retriever was like that with my dad. Sadly my dad passed away 2 years ago and my beautiful Mia passed 4 months later. We got Lucca 3 months later and oh I wish so much that my dad could have met him because he would have loved him to pieces. My mom (who is also fearful) of dogs loves Lucca. I think she thinks he is a sign from my dad sending his love to all of us:)
Carla...thank you for your kind words about my Mom...
I so appreciate them.
Isn't it wonderful...how our Doods can bring our loved ones out of their "fears"...and bring them so much joy...
I know what you mean about your Mom thinking Lucca is a sign from your Dad...sending his love to all of you...
You know what...sometimes I think...that maybe God does things...in a Most Unusual Way!!
So sorry about the loss of you Dad Carla...
I love the memories that I have about my Mom Nancy...and the memories with my Mom and Sasha are very "special"...and always bring a smile to my face.
Yes...our Doodles do have a way of bringing so much joy and love into our lives don't they...
I sure do love my girl...
