This morning I gave Riley a shower and blow dried his hair. Then it was ear hair plucking time and finally toothbrushing. Riley has his own toothbrush but when I finished some two hours later I left the toothbrush down as I cleaned up the hair and put everything else away. Fast forward to an hour later when I went to brush my teeth and guess what I did? I picked up Riley's brush loaded it with my toothpaste and started brushing. It was a couple of moments later when I realized it wasn't my brush. Yep I used Riley's toothbrush. I tried to forget about it but it is now evening time and I keep remembering : (

Glad that couldn't happen with us... I use an electric toothbrush, so no chance of a mix-up!
A comforting fact (I don't remember where I heard this): Dog mouths are cleaner than human mouths (less bacteria) :)
This made my day, Nicky! But now I'm wondering--will you consider the toothbrush OK for Riley now that you've used it? :)
I'm laughing now just reading all your comments. You were the only ones I could share it with : ) It wasn't actually that big a deal after I got over the initial OMG feeling! I actually agree it would be worse to pick up another persons brush when I think about it.
eeeewwww! So funny!
Then I won't tell you about my son who picked up an old toothbrush I had used for fine cleaning in the bathroom
I didn't tell him about that either. I just threw it away.
I think this is kind of cute. If you were on a deserted island, I know you and Riley would certainly share many things
Now say, CHEESE and show us those pearly whites
OMD...that made me cringe! I would not have told him either!
The doodles are just delighted when I bite some of my food into small pieces for them :-)
LOL - three second rule applies!
