Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I can't express my gratitude enough for this board. In my short time here you all have helped me with the Jake Rescue and so many other things. All the dogs are much better off with their food switch thanks to the food group. Today I groomed and clipped brisby with my new awesome clippers and power dryer (early moms day gift!) ! Both which were recommended to me by members on here in the grooming group. I probably spent half the time on the groom with better results and happier doodle. It went so much quicker with good quality tools! I LOVE my high power dryer! Thank you guys for all the advice and recommendations! Still real rusty on face and feet but I'm getting there! I'm just really happy to be a part of this awesome community!

Always good to hear : )

What a nice post, Jenn! Glad things are going well for you and the PB&J pack!

I love this place too! I'm glad everything is well with your pack.

And true, power dryer should be a must for doodle owners. I got mine as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. Still deciding whether to start grooming myself. Which clippers did you end up getting?

You can do it! I feel so good that I can groom them. And I am saving money by doing it myself.

These are the clippers I got:

And theses steel comb attachments:

I got the steel comb attachments because all of my doodles have very dense coats and plastic attachments weren't cutting it.

Thanks, Jenn!

Which doodle blow dryer do you recommend?

Here is the one recommended to me here that I got. I thank DK for the recommendation as I've done a lot of searching. I bought one before this one (before I joined DK) for $50 but it was just a regular dryer that would have taken 2+ hrs to dry my dogs. Ok here is the new awesome one I just got:

I love that it has variable flow so my doods can get use to how much air flow there is. It's powerful and I LOVE it. Expensive but worth it as in my city standard doodle grooms cost $120 and I have 2 standard guys already going on 3.

LOL...feeling the LOVE!  So glad your crew are all doing well together!

Great to know that the grooming is going well an knowing that Jake is doing well thanks to you.  I gifted myself a high powered dryer for Christmas, best pressy ever LOL.   ALL my advice regarding my boys (well 99%) comes from DK . We have a lot to be grateful for.

I'm in awe that you are grooming your own doggers.  I would love to save the money but I'm a chicken.

You can do it! I'll cheer you on. Join grooming and we will help!:)

And we're lucky to have you too! :)
