So as many of you might already know, I am in the process of trying to convince my DH to get a baby brother for Bailey.  I have my eye on a puppy that was born on Halloween.  Today he is 2.5 weeks old.  Jim can not picture what this little guy named Pumpkin by the breeder will look like at 8 weeks old.  We got Bailey at almost 12 weeks so we didn't see her as a little one...

Please share your puppy pics at about 3 weeks and if you have at 8 weeks old that I can use as bribery info to share with him... I know that every puppy is different but this might help him be able to envision what this little guy might look like...  And yes I have shown him pics that the breeder has provided of other litters  but he still needs a slap up side the head to see more...

SO many adorable puppy photos! Good luck, Elizabeth.

Thanks DJ..

As soon as I placed our Mya on my husbands lap...love at first sight .Done deal...

This is soon-to-be Picco and one of his siblings when we went to pick him out. I wish I would have gotten two.  I would like to breed Picco and keep a couple puppies. I think that might be the only way my husband would let me get another.  He couldn't turn down another Picco!

Elizabeth, I hope this discussion sure helps, why did I think you were in the process of getting your second already?!

Here's Jack at 3 weeks:

And at 8 weeks:

and today:

Good luck!!

I love seeing pictures of Jack! He is so beautiful!

Yes, he is gorgeous!

Probably because I have been talking about it for so long!  My DH is being a PITA when it comes to deciding LOL

Thanks for sharing your pictures with me..What a cutie!!

What is his hesitation Elizabeth?

Sheri, I think most of it has to do with the fact that Bailey is the perfect dog for us in every way.  She is so well behaved, I can take her in any situation with no problem.  She has never been a chewer or gotten into trouble...well except once LOL.  What he fails to understand is that all puppies/dogs have this potential to be well behaved..that's where training comes in ; )

Anyway the above mentioned and the fact that this breeder is out of town so we would be having this new puppy that I have my eye on brought to us, sight unseen, except for pictures.  Several friends of mine have gotten puppies from the breeder and they are gorgeous so I don't feel as hesitant as Jim does.  And he has seen them too.

He is also having a hard time picturing what a puppy would look like at 8 weeks and this little guys eyes aren't even opened yet...  And yes I know they do change so much in just a short time as they get older but it's "just Jim".  LOL

While obviously there are no guarantees but I know that this time around with AnnaBelle has been so easy.  With Lucy as her teacher she just sort of falls in line.  Of course there are a couple areas where Lucy could have used some more training and I see that in AnnaBelle, but is has still been very easy.    The potty training was so simple  With two it is still easy to walk both, easy to travel, and nothing really changes.  The whole not getting to really choose or see them up front is a little nerve wracking as that was our situation with AnnaBelle.

Maybe you and your husband should plan a trip to the breeder, 'just to look'. My guess is that would be all it takes ;)
