I found a fabulous new place to spend more money on collars!

I think I have a problem :-/

MrsBones.com located in Virginia Beach has beautiful stuff! I ordered Hattie this beautiful brown rose brocade collar and the bluegreen celtic knots from the classic collars. It is also the first time I ordered her a Martingale Collar and in a 1 1/2 inch width, hopefully so it can be seen at least some of the time through all her hair! Although I keep cutting her shorter a little bit at a time.

I have a hard time finding colors that I think look good with her apricot coloring. By the way, I loved the yellow collar Gracie Doodle had on Nancy in your ocean pictures!

Do you know of cool places to buy unique collars that aren't run of the mill type?

I got 2 recently from http://www.cozycritter.com/

Great quality. Looks so nice. Love the poop bag holder.

Lots of good collar ideas in the Ring Around the Collar Group.

Regarding colors, something that contrasts with her coat would stand out more than colors that are in the same family. If you want it to show up, stay away from earth tones (browns, golds, rust, apricot, orange) and go with blues, greens, and purples.

I am pretty sure Gracie's collar was a Dublin hydrocollar.  Hopefully Nancie will see this and confirm, but I am pretty sure.

Holly and Lil make fabulous collars but they are expensive, The walk-e-woo ones are better I think than the Cozy Critter ones and lovely.  (I know all this because I am obsessed too!)

I take Riley's hair shorter around his neck area and blend into his front and sides especially so the collars can be seen! lol

No sense in spending all that money and they aren't seen : )

I think blues, purples and all the brights will look lovely against Hatties apricot colouring

We have the opposite situation... Luna has the same collar she's had since she was a puppy ;)

Luna's collar is red and looks great with her dark apricot coloring.  I think a nice teal would look great too.

My problem is that I want the collar and leash to match. Anyone that knows of places where I can get this combination, I would appreciate your feedback. I have gone through all of the petstore brands that I like for little girls. The last one I bought waiting for my new ALD when she finally arrives is from Elmo's Closet. Very cute but expensive.

You can order collars and matching leashes custom made by dk mamber, Dori and Rua.  Go to her page or her website, KangaRua.  Her prices are very reasonable also. Here are my KangaRua summer collars and leashes:

You can't even see if my dog is wearing a collar or not so they are a total waste. I think a leash collection might be nice though. :)

My guys normally wear rolled leather because of matting, but since I mistakenly had them cut short, I am taking advantage of the fact that I can actually see their collars!

Also, our own Dori, of Dori and Rua, makes beautiful collars and leashes under her KangaRua line. I couldn't find her website, though.

There are photos of some of Dori's collars and leashes in this blog of Nancy's: http://www.doodlekisses.com/profiles/blogs/clancy-s-adoptaversary-d...

Very cute.  I love the bow tie one but it doesn't seem to come in big dog sizes - wouldn't Clancy and Darwin look handsome?

They sell XL collars in their etsy shop, but no bow tie collars. Darwin would look handsome, if you could actually see it through his fur. :-)
