Hey, congratulations! What do you mean by 'lol at what they call me', I didn't hear anything weird. I thought that's how your name is pronounced 'ah-dee-nah'... am I wrong?

"labradoodle specialist"
Well, that's what I, too, consider you!!!
She is talking about "Labradoodle Specialist"....I thought it was fitting. I also want to add ( I know I keep posting..I will stop now) I am happy you added the concern about over breeding. It is the same way I feel.
That was very cool.
A wonderful interivew. I am so happy that they actually allowed the good and the 'bad' to be presented about Doodles. Now, if only the national channels would publicize the plight of 'over breeding' of all breeds.
See my comment to Belinda below...
Well you are the Labradoodle specialist but I would have enjoyed it more if they had called you The Doodle Guru!
Great job pointing out the pro's and con's by the way!
I was determined to get good info in! Before the interviewer even asked me anything I told her I wanted THREE points to get across because the media always botches up these THREE facts:

1) there are different KINDS of labradoodles available
2) they are NOT all nonshedding or hypoallergenic
3) labradoodles ARE available via rescue

We went over them more than once ... LOL~!

So...2 out of 3 ain't bad! I said a lot more too and didn't QUITE recommend the doodle for the Obamas only that in general the LD is a good, friendly, energetic, family dog (did say they CAN be high energy and need more than a quick walk).
great job. i also worry about the over breeding too! i already have had some people say to me "that is the dog our president is thinking about getting"
Hi Adina, If anyone deserves to be called a "labradoodle specialist" it's you! Nice interview and I totally agree with you about them becoming a trend.
Hey doodle specialist :), well done Adina!
I think you did very well.
Even here in Europe the whole president's dog discussion is on everybody's mind.
I also fear that a lot of people might only because of this "hype" buy a doodle from "somewhere" without informing enough about the breed and might end up getting rid of the dog because of possible shedding. Benny is shedding as well and my boyfriend is allergic but we were aware that this could happen when we got Benny as he is not from a breeder. We just live with it because there are no severe problems like asthma or something like that.
I also fear that puppy mills will start "producing" now like crazy and that prices will explode because some people start calling themselves now breeders to use the dogs as a cash machine.
In some other dog forums I even saw discussions where doodle owners and waterdog owners were literally fighting which dog might be the better one....how ridiculous is that? Every human has a different character and should try to find a dog breed matching to him and not just get a fashion dog.
In Europe Doodles are not even considered as a breed, but who cares? I definitely don't, I just love these fluffy monsters.
