mother of three boys & i have three grandchildren.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
i have a labodoodle. his name is rudie. i found him at a shelter at 4 months old. didn't know what he was. thought he was some kind of terrier. rudie is a little over 2 years old. i also have a mixed black lab her name is belle. (she has gone over the rainbow bridge 11-28-08)

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
i have never heard of a doodle until i got rudie. everyone was asking me if he was a doodle. the reason i got him was when the shelter sent me his picture i feel in love with him. i had to have him. i'm so happy that i did.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
we go to the beach in the summer. he loves to walk on the sand. he loves to play catch. (doesn't bring it back) but he loves to chase sticks anyway. he is such a funny dog!

A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
a local groomer

just got back from taking rudie to the assisted living home here. we went in the memory care unit. they loved him. rudie did really well. everyone wanted to pet him. of course he loved all the attention. i hope i can take him back. (just took my mother there to stay). really sad.

Hello GRAD member,
We have a new and exciting event coming July 26th, from 1-4 to celebrate our recent jump to 100 members!
We will be having a BBQ/Picnic and a lake for the doodles to go swimming at The Dude Ranch in Glen Allen. Please check out the discussion on the group page entitled "Party Time" and respond there if you plan to attend so I can get a doodle head count for the facility.

Theresa, are you anywhere near Princeton, WV? The Doodle Rescue RC has located a Parti Doodle in a shelter there who may need to be pulled before she is put to sleep. We should know more tomorrow but if you or someone you know can help us, we would really apprecate it. ASAP lynne_fowler@yahoo.com

Hey there GRAD member,
This is a reminder that the Spring Romp is next weekend March 15th at 1pm. The make-up date in case of bad weather is the following Sunday. We have some great news, our newest member Charnell told me her daughter Amy, is launching a canine therapeutic massage business and she has volunteered to provide some freebie massages to the GRAD group at the romp. Also as I stated in the e-mail message we will be having a few contest. Inspired by Strange's Dog days in the garden, the best sit/stay, the owner/doodle look-a-like, and the best dressed for St. Patty's day contests. Please respond in the discussion on the group page if you will be attending and please let me know if you are new to the group, are attending and would like your GRAD bandana for your doodle.
