Jackdoodle has been getting chiropractic treatment and acupuncture for his ruptured disc since his MRI last September. His practitioner is a holistic veterinarian who specializes in "complementary therapy". Between her treatments and his laser therapy, I think there has been an improvement, although it would be hard to say what is helping the most. The chiropractic "adjustments" are very, very small.
Good article! My personal experience has made me a believer in chiropractic care for people and animals!!!
One of my good friends is an eguine chiroprator. He is in Fla. and goes all over the US. He really helps the race horses...
My step son is a Dr. of O.T and his dog has had some problems and he always sees an animal chiropractor. He has had good luck with them. I will always go to them for my dogs.
Good to know that others have had experience with this--I will send the article to my large animal vet daughter--maybe she can start adjusting the spines of the dairy cows!! Ha!
