Introducing Hoka, and myself :)

Hello there, This is a little introduction of my 13 week old F1B GD, Hoka and his little-big sister Moxie (approx 4-5 year old terrier mix).  

We picked up Hoka about a month ago from the breeder, and things are going very well overall. Our biggest challenge has been a "rough mouth", but we are definitely making progress.  He is very smart, observant and has picked up on the bells for going out. 

Moxie and Hoka have become fast friends, with wrestle-mania matches breaking out all day. They are really happy.  We had 2 older dogs, a doodle and a husky-mix who both past away recently and Moxie was so lonely.  She has been our best helper in teaching him to play nicely.

Adorable!   I've heard that Golden cross' are more of a problem with mouthing than Lab crosses.  Our Molly is a golden cross but I have nothing to compare her with we've never had a Lab cross.  She is very gentle with her mouth now but even at about 16 months old she still tries to put her mouth on us.  I should be more diligent in correcting her but unfortunately I'm a bit of a softy.

He is a golden cross (F1B), but so was our last doodle and he had a very gentle mouth.  He, however, never learned the bells!  They are all different.  

Hoka is definitely improving.  He is so observant and appears to be able to count!  If he takes a piece of food roughly, I give 3 in a row to his sister. He is very careful after that. LOL
