Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello everyone!!! I'm so excited to be a member.I have been reading everyone's blogs, looking at pictures, and learning all sorts of things.
As I've read in some of the forums about others wanting to know opinions on what their doodle will look like I would like to get some opinions myself on our sweet Georgia. She is an F1b
When we picked her out at 4weeks she was very wavy and then when they delivered her Christmas morning I was a little surprised to see how much she looked like a retriever. We absolutely love her to death no matter what her coat ends up being.I will admit I was hoping for the facial beard but don't think she'll have one:(We are new to the goldendoodle world so thought it would be nice to hear y'all's thoughts. Thanks so much! Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Welcome to DoodleKisses Malissa! Is it possible for you to post a better picture? You can add pictures to the discussion by using the 2nd icon from the left on top of the reply box. When you hover your mouse over it, it says "image". Can't see her face at all in the image you attached and your profile pic is small. Unfortunately it doesn't look like she will have the facial furnishings but she is adorable!

We have a group you can join to see others with similar looking doodles: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/wheresthepoodleinmydoodle

Facial fur/hair is a better indicator.  Can you show us a photo of her face?

I'm not sure I added photo correct..

She is very cute, but does look more like a retriever.  However,

I can assure you will be in love with her and think she is the perfect doodle!

Aweeee!! She is cute!!!

Here you go!

I'm in julington creek also:)
So do you think she's going to look like e retriever? She had so many curls and waves but now I think she's losing her baby coat. The smooth coat doodles seem to have a flat coat so I'm confused??

Did you ever actually see your puppy in person before your got her or was all communication done on the computer? Sadly, a lot of fraud is committed with internet puppy sales. If you were only sent pictures via email, how do you know this is the same dog? The fact that they "delivered" her rather than your going to get her is also a little worrisome, because it means you never saw their facilities, their dogs, etc.  Reputable breeders usually post photos of the puppies on their websites each week, and they are identified by a colored collar or ribbon that they wear from birth on, so you can watch your pup grow and develop. If you only saw one photo at 4 weeks, and never saw her again until she arrived, it's possible the photo you saw was not of the pup you got.

I did go pick her out in person, and I saw both the parents. They offered for me to come and visit multiple times but it was over an hour away and I have4 children with busy schedules.I had them deliver her on Christmas morning to surprise my kids.I could have picked her up.I stayed in contact with them thru the entire process.

That sounds more reassuring.

Yes.... But now you have my mind wondering.I certainly hope she's the one I picked out and when I look at the pictures at 4weeks to the 9weeks they sent me before delivering I can't tell:(:( I assumed it was just her growing and coat changing.I can obviously tell from her 9weeks photo they sent to her photos now she's the same.Oh no!!
