Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Meg and I went for a walk in town this morning and this is the Rodeo weekend for our little area, brings in people for camping and riding from near and far.  So today is craft market in town and that turned out to be a bit of a pain, everyone wants to pet, people stopping in front of us and other dogs that bark and she wants to go play with.  Really the biggest crowd she has ever had to maneuver through and she did pretty good, even remembering to sit in order to let little ones pet her.  So we cut that short and headed out to the park (since everyone camped out there was in town) and she did her normal walk and we practiced a bit of loose leash instead of a tight heel that I normally hold her to.  We rounded the corner just off of where the carnival sets up for the weekend and a young worker there stopped and said, "pretty dog...is that an English Settler?"  As fun as I think it is to say Labradoodle I do think that a Settler is a bit funnier. Maybe I should look that up before chuckling, could be a breed out there I am unaware of.

Ha!  I love this!  You should use it when people ask what kind of dog Meg is.  :)

Your baby is darling! I wonder if my guy will look like that when he gets older. Everyone that sees Cooper thinks he is a Flat Coated Retriever and I looked them up, and he does! Or they say he remind them of a dog they had when they were growing up. Hmmm. His parents were both F1's and big beautiful wooley coated specimens. I am learning from this site that unless you have a multi- generational pup, you really have no idea what your getting on the outside. Fortunatly, your getting all the good stuff on the inside so who cares unless your allergic OR something I don't know. I just love him no furnishings and all.
P.S.I wanted to send a picture but need to figure out how to do it on my iPad.
