Iverhart Plus recall

There is a voluntary recall of Virbac's heartworm pill Iverhart Plus.

My boys have been taking these from the beginning. I used to order them online, since the pills were half the price of what our vet was charging. What is a good alternative to give them now?

Yes, the article you linked says monthly and no reduced dosage in the Update.

Yes, I saw that.  However, if dogs are developing a resistance to a drug, giving it more often is not the fix I would choose.  In fact, giving it regularly over a long period of time is normally what causes the resistance.  I'll be researching this more.
