Hi All, asking for good doodle thoughts today as I go for an interview at a local hospital for a Lactation Consultant position. It is part time and exactly what I want in amount of hours so that I can still have time with my grandson, home and doodles.  These jobs are rare and although the competition is relatively limited due to the qualifications, it is a much sought after position for a RN, IBCLC, (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant)

So please wish me luck at 3:30 Arizona time? That's 6:30pm Eastern. Thanks to all my DK friends.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GOOD WISHES AND THOUGHTS, PAWS AND ALL !  You are all a great bunch of friends to send so many positive thoughts my way. Obviously it helped.  I start May 16th.

Thanks again. :0  You are all the best!

Thanks so much.
Oh Caitlin, that is so sweet. It was one of the easiest interviews I've had in a long time that's for sure.
Good luck Sue!
Good luck, hope you get the boob job!! Sorry couldn't resist, you know nurses have a weird sense of humor. Seriously good luck.
Donna, only another nurse would say that. yes, I am the boob nurse. Better than what they called me when I was doing Labor and Delivery. Use your sick RN imagination for that one. :)
Good luck Sue, hope you get the job.
I feel pretty positive tonight, but we'll see in a few days.
You are probably done now...you're totally qualified and I bet you did great!

Coming from the one person on DK that I have actually spoken to about breastfeeding! Thank you.

I hope that it went well!!!  What a great job helping mommies and hungry babies!

Sue, I hope it went great, I do know how stressful it is, I am working PRN now, very PRN and I love it. I do Diabetic Education on every other Friday for a half day, and then on the other week I do Pre/post cardiac cath procedure care. It is a far cry from Trauma and Emergency room but I am extremely grateful to be able to work when I can, and to be home to tend to my health and Jackie the rest of the time.

I so hope you got this job, you are so kind, so compassionate, Just what new mom's need when they are trying to figure out how to nurse their babies..

Best of luck...

Thanks Jen, you definitely are working very PRN. There is so much to do in nursing that there always seems like we can fill a need no matter what our own life restrictions put on us. I have always admired Trauma and ER nurses. Could never do either, but then again have met many Trauma/ER nurses who say the same for Labor and Delivery. Takes all types to make a nurse.
