My husband and I are so excited to be getting a standard male. Just for fun we have been tossing around names. The first runner up is Toby after that I think it's Mason. What do you all think? We will make a final decision once he is born and has some personality. Thanks :)

I like Toby very much but the two additional suggestions that really caught my ear were Doug and Harry.  No matter what you name your new little man, it will be perfect!  So exciting!!!!

Oh, and I like the name "Bob"......Hey Bob-Dog.  And if he gets into trouble, you can throw down with a "ROBERT!!!"  And I like "little old men" names, hence the "Stanlee" we have at our house.

This is such a fun part of getting a doodle (or any dog for that matter)!  I like Toby.  I also like Teddy.  Since Bexter looks just like a teddy bear, it is a name I sometimes think I should have given him!

I also like Shaggy and Scooby!  I also like Yankee for Yankee Doodle.  I also like Scooter.  This is so fun!  Good luck with your choice!

Oh how fun. I do like both Toby and Harry. I have a friend whose last name is Mason, so that one does not strike me fancy. But that's just me. I do like names that end in ee sound.

I always knew Monty will be Monty. My DH wanted Tiberius (named after captain James T. Kirk!!!), so like a good wife that I'm, I allowed that for Monty's middle name: Montgomery Tiberius.

And to stay true to the Roman emperors, Auggie-doggie is short for Augustus Aurelius. Since we had to switch gears really fast after learning that we are not getting a girl, Auggie was the only name that came up. There was no list. And it fits perfectly.

Get a list going and yell out the names outloud. :-) It's fun! Can't wait to see what you choose.

Jarka, your dog's namesake is way better looking than my dog's namesake.

LOL, I have to agree with you on that one.

If Henna was a boy, I would name him Teddy. She looks JUST like a Teddy bear :)

Coming up with the perfect name is as stressful as naming a newborn! (2-legged one  :) We couldn't come up with the "perfect" name for Cody until we saw him. Then it was automatic - Cody it was!!  We had picked out "Casey" a few weeks before we got him, so we knew his name already when we met him and it was a perfect fit.

Toby will be a wonderful name.   It is easy to call.
