How much did your doodle grow after 6 months of age? Currently, 45lbs at almost 6 months old. I'm thinking about 70lbs when all is said and done, but vet thinks no way.

Myla was 45.6 pounds when she was 6 months old.  She is now just about 4 1/2 years old and has been 63 pounds since she was one year old.  She is an F1 standard goldendoodle.

Does the vet think she won't get that big?

Zeus was 51 lbs. at 6 months and he’s now 90 lbs. at 5 years of age (fully fit). His weight chart is on my profile. You might be interested in this thread, where several members posted their Doods’ weights at 7 months: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/heavyweights/forum/topics/what-wa...

The average Poodle growth span is 2 years. I’m guessing that Scout could be in the 75-80 lb. range at full growth, based on the size of his feet and current weight. Were you wanting a big guy? :O)

The bigger, the better, the goofier :)

Winnie was 39lbs at 6 months, and topped out at 56lbs.

If your puppy is a standard doodle, the most accurate guide that I've seen is to double the weight at four months of age and then give or take 10 pounds.  Myla weighed 30 pounds when she was four months old and has been 63 pounds for years now - so the formula worked perfectly for her and for most doodles on this site.

The smaller the doodle, the sooner it reaches maturity. Your doodle doesn't appear to be a mini so I am sure he has more growing to do. How big was he at 4 months? The rule of thumb is take that 4 month weight, double it and add or subtract 10 pounds.
