Gads, it is cold in much of the country right now.  We are having a heat spell here in California, but I saw that up to two inches of snow an hour were expected in Boston.  Keep warm back there and I hope the utilities can survive the weather.

It's really cold and snowy here, but my Max loves walking and playing in the snow, and I actually enjoy walking in this weather too as long as I am dressed appropriately. We went for a 2 hour walk today on the trail, it was beautiful with the snow gently floating down. Quiet too!

Sounds beautiful!  We are just getting ready to go out to the hot tub and look at the moon, but one of our fondest hot tub memories was hot tubbing at  Lake Tahoe in the snow.  It was great sitting out in the hot tub with the snow falling around us.  It was a condo complex that we were renting and we will always remember that.

Many of our friends and family are hunkered down in the cold and snow.
We had 73 today here in San Diego...suppose to 80 tomorrow...no complaints!!!
Lynda...enjoy the hot tub...it is how we brought on the New Year last night! Peaceful and quiet under the stars!

I don't mind the snow (my doggy goes nuts for it) but the cold I can do without.  Here in WI we are projected to have a high of negative 8 on Monday.  Needless to say my pup will be going to daycare that day as she just can't be outside for any longer than absolutely necessary in weather like that.  Last week when it was just as cold we walked up and down the hallways in my apartment building and ran the stairs for exercise.  Not as good as a long walk along the lake, but better than nothing!

It will be very bad here in upstate NY--10 -15 inches of snow, wind and very cold. High tomorrow of 4 degrees with below zero wind chill...

I have to take my 7 week old pups to the vet tomorrow for their well puppy check and will back the car right up to the door to get them in and out quickly--I tried to change the appt to earlier in the week, but with the holiday, there was no time slot available. I hate to take them out, but at least it is a short drive--and DH will do the driving so I can keep an eye on the pups. 

Too bad they can't go out and use their play area--I feel sorry for all the new owners who will be housebreaking next week in the very cold weather--it will be miserable!

I took the day off, we live on the top of a mountain and things can be different compared to the flat lands.  I'm not afraid to drive, but the drive can be a horror story.  My friend who lives 6 miles from the city it took her 2 hours 20 minutes to get home,  that is why i hate the drive.  I have watched the cars since 3 pm and they crawl down the mountain,  It would have prob took me 4 hours to get home today.  Retirement calls to me.......

It was -29C this morning when I walked the dogs before work, -36c if you include the wind chill..... we walked fast!! It is supposed to be the same tomorrow. I'm seriously considering buying a treadmill just for the dogs!!
