It breaks my heart when dogs escape and are lost. I had a Siberian Husky and was warned about how they can find ways to get free so I was always so careful. After hearing that many dogs slip their collars I started using a martingale collar along with a Easy walk harness and used 2 leashes. My Husky never got loose. When I got my Doodle Mojo I used the martingale no slip collar again but found a better way using one leash on the harness and securing the martingale collar to the harness with a small tether made from a part of an old Halti head collar. The tether can also be made with rings hooked together from old leashes or but parachute hooks, just test it out inside to make sure it holds. Here is a photo of my Mojo with his harness and tethered martingale collar.

Smart!  Trav sticks pretty close, but if there were a squirrel or kitty around, all bets are off!

Looks like a good setup.  And by the way, Mojo has a gorgeous coat! :)

Thank you, now that he is almost 2 years old and finished with the coat change its easier to keep long

Really good idea.
