Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I had a standard F1 goldendoodle name Gizmo.  He was super social, I swear he tried to make me laugh.  Loved to watch TV (especially Harry Potter) and was always down to cuddle.

Gizmo passed away suddenly of kidney failure two months ago at 6.5 years old.  I got him from the Humane Society at 6 months and I don't regret that even a little, but based on what my vet said I think he had genetically bad kidneys.  He was an owner surrender and the previous owners got him at a pet store:(

Anyway, I'm getting a puppy in August and in the mean time I'm obsessing researching puppy training. I stumbled across this site and it's filling my doodle withdrawal a little.

Oh, I'm Brandy.  Dog lover.  Book Lover.  Engineer.

Hi Brandy and welcome to Doodlekisses.  I am so sorry about Brandy, he was still young.  It is so hard to lose a dog they leave you a piece of their heart, but they also take a piece of yours when they leave.

Hope you enjoy DK.  Lots of empathy and advice here.  I am glad you are looking into puppy training, as you know it is so important in the making of a new best friend.

Welcome to DoodleKisses. I am so sorry about Gizmo. Enjoy looking through all the great information you will find here in anticipation of your new puppy.

Welcome to DoodleKisses. I am so sorry about Gizmo.
