AW..... so cute. Funny how they can do lots of things when they want to...:-}
So funny! The thrill of victory.
Fudge plays me like a fiddle, too. That dog can jump from a boat onto land, but can't jump down from the bed :) I know.....I am a "sucka." LOL Vern puts his front paws on the bed and expects to be hoisted (all 96 pounds) the rest of the way up. Sue, don't say it.....I know :)
Molly does this to me when I put her in the car for her walks. She is perfectly capable of jumping in the back of my Outback and jumping down. Has anyone ever had the patience to "wait it out" with your doodle to see if they would finally jump up or down? I've tried, but I lost the battle and gave in......I'm a "sucka."
Funny - we go kayaking quite often and Myla got into the kayak by herself several times but all of a sudden she just sat there and expected us to put her in! I did but then I thought "this is crazy, she is soaking wet and I get soaking wet lifting her in!" so I just got into the kayak and said "See you Myla" and started paddling away and all of a sudden she started barking and coming towards us so I turned around and she jumped right in and has jumped in ever since that time!!!
Our Libby jumps up and off of our bed, but it really worries us because our bed is very high. When she jumps off we worry about her hips and maybe we are just being over cautious, but at times when she jumps off she loses her balance and simi falls. In the last two weeks my husband actually picks her up when we want her down. Are we being too over protective?
She is eighteen months old and weighs 45 pounds. Our mattress is almost three feet from the floor and it is her favorite place to lay and rest during the day. I guess I am just over protective but I read all these horrible things about their hips and it worries me. Thanks for your input, we are all new to this Doodle world and we just love her to pieces:)
