Should I be concerned?  My puppy is so calm and so lazy it worries me.  Every oppertunity he has he lays down and trys to take a nap.  He is 6 1/2 months old I will tell you a little about our daily routine.  We live in a condo and dont have a yard he is indoors only.
Tuesday through Friday 6am walk 45 min, feed and put in crate.
12pm walk 45min, feed and put in pin.
4pm walk 1 1/2 walk feed and hang out with family in livingroom and watch tv and play a little with toys.  8pm bedtime and back in crate.
Saturday through Monday spend all day with mom and dad hanging in house going for car rides park, beach, visiting family or just hanging out in house.   Sleeps every chance he can. Eating much less about 60% 0f what he use to eat. And not that interested in eating at all.
He was nuetered about 30 days ago and silly puppy energy is gone.  I have a very calm, sweet, well mannered puppy who acts more like an old dog than a 6 month old puppy.
Please share your thoughts.  Is something wrong?

It sounds like he is getting a lot of exercise with 3 long walks per day, and he is probably sleeping alot because he is just tired.  I say "a tired puppy is a calmer and well behaved puppy".  If you are looking to get some of his energy back to play - try cutting out one of his walks for a few days and see if he gets a little more lively.  He is also still growing at 6 1/2 months, and they grow when they sleep.  So sleep is important for a puppy.

I'm sure others will chime in - but if he is not lethargic during your walks, and only afterward... I believe  that the walks are doing what they are supposed to do, which is help him release the energy and make him tired.

I dont know about the eating less food part - som hopefully someone might be able to help with that...

How much WAS he eating, and how much is he eating now?  What food?

I feed Jackson 3x per day.  I give him Blue Buffalo puppy line.  8oz cup of dry food with 2 teaspoons of can food.   Lately, he will only eat half serving.  He is not that interested in eating.  I sit and encourage him to have some more.

I'd switch him to two meals a day; at his age, he doesn't need three any more, and that may encourage his appetite.

I think you've got a perfect personality for a dog that lives in a condo... lucky find at least he is not bouncing off the walls. ha. I am not a vet but lots of experience with dogs and a breeder, so I feel that if you have had him checked by a vet recently, wormed and shots properly, then make sure he is eating/pooping ok, if all those things come up good then you just have to look at the personality. They will loose that puppy "thing" were they have to run around the yard for a bit to get rid of that energy and the teething things go away after their teeth come in (sometimes the chewing thing becomes a habit or the only way to release energy which sounds like you don't have to worry about). Maybe the walks you are doing are good enough for releasing his energy.

I have had many many puppies that would rather sit in your lap then go play with the others, these pups I usually sell to older people who just want a lap dog. Good luck, cute.

Thank you this makes me feel better. do you think 1 1/2 hr. walk after work is too long?

I say, ENJOY. Lily Grace is going most of the time. Lots of long walks, playing ball in the back of our apartment and me throwing her toys down the hall when we are inside and she is still after me. She came from a breeder that has many dogs around the house and misses playing with them. She was there until she was 10 weeks old for training. She thinks I am one of them. I can see why two doodles are so popular. They love playmates.

This was my concern with our Daisy, I got the same responses as you with one extra....I had a blood draw on Daisy because I was afraid of Parvo, turns out she is just a calm dog. That being said she also gets tons of good exercise. Vet said be thankful so we are.

He is sooo cute!! I am betting he just has a laid back personality--LUCKY you!!-- and that he is slowing down as he matures--the eating 60% less is a bit strange but some doodles do not gobble their food down and are even fussy eaters. This is a mystery to me as mine eat their dinner in 10 seconds or less! But you should be able to determine how much he should be getting according to his weight --there are formulas for caloric intake. The vet would know or it may be online--does anyone know the formula?

Puppies' calorie requirements in terms of calories per lb. of body weight do go down as their growth slows down. If this pup is a mini or small medium, his skeletal growth may be close to complete.

I feed Jackson 3x per day.  I give him Blue Buffalo puppy line.  8oz cup of dry food with 2 teaspoons of can food.   Lately, he will only eat half serving.  He is not that interested in eating.  I sit and encourage him to have some more.

Jackson is a standard goldendoodle his mom is and English Cream Retriever.  He is only 45ps and about 21 inches tall (shoulder height).  He is much smaller than we expected, however,  size no longer matters because we are so in love with our shorty:)

If this is worring you then I would take him to the vet.  You see him on a daily basis and know him the best.  He is getting lots of exercise which is a good think but you don't want to over do it because their bones are still growing.  My Oliver is not a big eater at all once he reached about 8 months old he just does not eat what he should.  His vet says that he is 10 -15 lbs under weight but I would rather have him skinny than over weight.

He may not like his food, maybe change the flavor etc.  I put different toppers on my doodle's food.  They LOVE liver, I saute chicken liver and put it in a blender and heat up a couple of spoonfulls and mix it in their kibble which the love.  You may want to try different toppers.  I just feed my doodles 2x day, @ 6 am and 6 pm.    I would cut down the 3x day feeding to 2x and as someone else mentioned, cut out one of the walks and change things up a bit and see if there is a difference.  Otherwise take him to the vet for a check up for piece of mind.
