Lifting leg....to poo?

For the first year of Gavin's life he squatted to pee and never would pee off property.  During year two he began to lift his leg and gradually began to pee off property in familiar neighbourhoods, but never poo outside the yard.  Now as he approaches his thrid birthday, he pees at will off property and has now begun to occasionally poo on walks too.  Now for the most unusual part...during the walk Gavin lifts his leg a full 90 degrees and without as much as a squat, poos!  It is the quirkiest thing I have ever seen him do.  Does anyone else have a doodle that does this or is Gavin "special" ???

Gavin sounds "special" to me. Luca, and Calla of course, still squats for all but he has been marking in his own squatty way on walks sometimes : )

So it sounds like his is "special."  I would try and get a picture but would have to carry a camera for walks as this is the only time the leg lift poo occurs, plus I don't want to embarass the poor guy.

DH took Gavin to the park today and Gav tried the leg lift poo again.  DH gently interupted him and relocated him to a different area of the park where he did his business the normal way.  Crazy doodle!

How funny! My friends dog backs up against trees to poo, I would classify that as the weird kind of special!
